Teachers that give homework to little kids that basically translates to homework for the parents. Build a working replica of the Wright brothers' plane type shite. 2nd graders aren't doing that. It used to be that the kids whose parents did projects for them at least tried to pass it off as their work. Now, it's just a mompetition.
Over reaching by society in general. I'll use school as an example. When my oldest son started HS, his English teacher sent home a list of age appropriate books and said to ask her if we weren't sure. He was 15. He can read whatever the hell he wants as long as it's not porn. I don't need help picking out books for my kids. You teach English and let me be the parent.
Helicopter parents who act like you're a bad parent if you don't hover like a lunatic. Oldest son is 17 and his ex girlfriend's parents wouldn't ever let her come over unless we were going to be here the entire time. Which is difficult on the weekends since we have other kids that need to/want to go other places as well as errands to run and things to do ourselves. I shouldn't have to babysit a 17 year old. Similarly, my daughter's group of friends included one girl whose parents are over the top helicopter and super judgmental of anyone who isn't. They found out one of the girls who lives in their same neighborhood stays home by herself after school (these kids are 15/16), and they sat in her driveway one afternoon until her dad got home and confronted him about leaving her alone. He told them where to go, and now none of the kids want to hang out with the helicopter daughter. Which her parents tell her is because they're all jealous of her. Just absurd.

It makes me feel bad that a kid is having a temper tantrum and the parent goes off of the kid- I mean jerking the kid around and screaming st them. Who’s having the tantrum now?

The parents who only have children because "it's one of those things you do in life. Just the ongoing societal belief in general and not wanting them being seen as just not ready.
Not everyone is going to want children or is meant to have them.
Yeah, a lot of people who didn't and ended up having them say they wouldn't have it any other way, but people convince themselves of a lot of things and outcomes aren't always so positive.

Also the odd names/spellings in an attempt to be trendy or different. The children will one day be adults with these names

Seeing how hot the teachers are that my middle school son is banging. Annoying AF.

As someone who's usually laid back and light hearted, I fricking hate how parenting, especially with younger children, makes you a high strung a-hole, even moreso in public.
I constantly want to tell my kid "I don't really GAF if you do that, but I do GAF about being a good parent and that means I have to GAF about you doing that."

Yeah that’s exactly what she was doing. I’m sure the kid had to write a report on the book so she wanted to make sure he read a book that had themes applicable to being a 15 year old. That way he thinks about the subject and doesn’t write a report on some dumb book. Pretty sure the teacher couldn’t care less what the kid reads at home.

I used to rail my hs gf when her parents ran errands. I dont blame em.
GF'S Mom: "Kids, I have to take baby Johnny to swim lessons for about an hour. Behave while I'm gone."
HS Me (in my head): Damn. What am I going to do with the other 57 minutes!?

If your son could get pregnant, you probably wouldn’t be so flippant.

No this was a suggestion on books to read outside of class, not for any school work. It was this whole thing about the importance of reading (duh) and picking appropriate books. It would have been totally fine for an elementary school kid but was ridiculous for a 9th grader.

We try to teach our kids to make good choices. You can't hover for 18 years without letting them practice their decision making skills and then ship them off to college and hope for the best. I mean, I guess you can. I just think that's dumb. Ever increasing increments of responsibility and trust with lots of discussions in between works much better, IMO. But to each their own.

People who DON'T HAVE kids acting like they have all the answers about how to raise kids. STFU

One of my old co-workers would bring her kids to the office after work. That alone is kind of annoying/unprofessional, but to top it off she would let them both come in my office and bother me while I'm trying to finish off my day. Nah bruh. Keep your little demons at home.

People that let their children scream/throw tantrums in public and doing nothing about it. That shite is aggravating to no end
I'll add to that. Parents that won't bring their young kids in public and TEACH then how to behave.
They turn into 10-18 year olds that have no idea how to act in public.
