The skill level of new hires has dropped through the floor in the last 3 years.
We still get some All Stars who love what they do, but so many more now have not even a basic understanding of Engineering, Math and Physics. At least 20% of new hires have no work ethic, and a basic assumption that they are owed tutoring.
That is well out of alignment with new hires between 2010-2020.

As someone who just graduated undergrad at 43 and am currently in graduate school, I just don’t see a problem with who’s coming into the workforce. I’m in GroupMe for all my classes, and these kids are going to be great and working in groups, and using source material to find answers. The only thing that bothers me is the same thing I’ve seen for years working offshore with every age demo. Some people just can’t use available information to solve problems, every solution is found by asking someone that might know. I see it with some in the classes, but I’ve long seen it in a professional setting.
