While I don’t disagree in theory., that seems to violate 1A.
Yeah....that wasn’t very well thought out.

He is a Juris Doctor so I don’t usually question his knowledge of the law.

The Contagion Effect
Do you never sleep? How much internet sleuthing do you do per day? I'd have never known that this was a thing except for you.
Seems like it's a pretty reasonable assessment as to why some of these occurrences take place, though.

We somehow got tagged in one that was actually directed at a Miss. school. We are in south La. Still had several police on campus and had school, message on the school board website saying everything was fine.
Leaving school and Channel 4 news was in front of the school shooting a segment on it. Right there is the reason it will keep happening. Stop reporting kids doing dumb shite and giving them the attention they are craving.

Up here, they said that they will absolutely be charged with a felony.
Good. This isn't a laughing matter

Or that doing it on social media won’t result in a consequence.
Look this whole treat every kid the same stuff needs to change. Some kids can grow up without much supervision while some kids are frickups. They have never been treated the same in the past, why are they now?

Kids making threats need to have a SWAT team swarm their parents house with tear gas, flash grenades, and anything else they have. If they make an example out of the first few, it will stop.

Looks like the 2 kids arrested in Tangipahoa Parish for sending out threats are being charged with "terrorizing". WAFB
One threat was deemed "credible" and the other seems to be just passing along a threat from someone else out-of-state.
Any LA lawyers know what the penalty for terrorizing is?

I don't remember them using the term "Contagion Effect", but there was an interesting occurrence in a Texas high school a few years ago that lends credence to this school of thought.
Something like a dozen or so girls suddenly developed a facial tick accompanied by a severe stutter when they would speak. The girls were all from the same school but were not all acquainted. Doctors first thought it was some type of nervous system disorder. They went as far as to theorize that it was caused by the presence of chemicals in the fill dirt that was used on the sports practice fields. Apparently some of the dirt was taken from the vicinity of a land fill or something.
In the end it turned out to be what they referred to as a form of "mass hysteria". It started with one girl and spread to the rest. A young mind is a very mold-able thing. That's why the military likes to recruit 18 year olds.
