Ok, genius, what are your credentials? I worked with government compliance in media relations between the U.S. and China. I had to tell US studios what they needed to do to get mainstream releases in China as well as any port of an American show to a Chinese environment. My job was directly dealing with this shite every single day. Please tell me why you are so qualified to talk about this subject?

What in the world does that have to do with long-term Chinese global strategy? Does your work in media relations give you insight as to why the Chinese are so active in the Spratlys (beyond the obvious "because oil" answer)?
Living in China for 2.5 years "tell(ing) US studios what they needed to do to get mainstream releases in China" certainly qualifies you as an expert who can comment on the authenticity of the Chinese buffet down the street, but it has nothing to do with this topic. It sounds like you had a cool job and a great experience. I don't take anything away from that. I just won't concede that it makes you an expert on Chinese global strategy.
I am not going to discuss my credentials on the internet. Suffice it to say that this is my arena, specifically, and not in a "I went to Cancun on Spring Break once and do public relations for Taco Bell, therefore I'm an expert on long-term Mexican strategy" kind of way.
