No it doesn’t. What a pitiable point of view. The older I get the better life is. I’m 62, and life is fantastic. And that’s not just me; surveys consistently show that the happiest cohorts are people in their 60’s and 70’s.
My mom died at 78. She was in the hospital, and just refused to put any effort into living, otherwise she could have lived longer. She was perfectly happy on her deathbed, knowing full well she was never getting out of that bed.

They all look like zombies. That is not how I envision my 60's being.

I just turned 61 and agree wholeheartedly.
We just returned from two weeks in The Villages and another in Key West. We loved The Villages. The average age though is 72. My wife is 47 so we're on the younger side of the population.
