Black Friday has calmed down in the last few years since most stores open around 8pm thanksgiving night.

Anyone who pays full retail for anything is an idiot any day of the year. With very few specific luxury name brands, everything can be found t a less than retail price using the Internet. And nearly all luxury brands can be found significantly (30-40%) less in Europe.
