Dick, what if pizza places performed like the YC companies? Do you think customers would be satisfied? Do you think they would blame their lack of service (being hours late) on other customers and that people would accept this? If a pizza delivery service was more than an hour late with my delivery I most certainly would not wait around to eat and I most certainly wouldn't answer the door when he finally arrived. This is not the fault of the customer, rather its the fault of the business model for that company. All you do is drive a car, you don't even have to make a pizza! This process should be soooo easy with the technology we have these days. To blame your lack of service on customers and to continue to say that its the customers fault just goes to show how awful your business model is. You need to look in the mirror, however it is too late. You should've adapted looooong ago. The only thing you have saving you right now is the government and I can promise you it is just a matter of time.

We tried to use it once last weekend, but we had 5 people and the car could only take 4. We called before he got to my place and he said he couldn't do it so we cancelled. I will be using Uber from now till I die.

Yea, we aren't supposed to allow more than 4 passengers to ride with us. If im in my F-250 I can do 5 though. Ill do it for you just to do my part to kill the lazy worthless, poorly managed BR cab business that is obviously represented in this thread.

Not as bad on gas as everyone thinks. Usually use a tank of gas on a wknd. 350-450 miles. Which runs about 125$. I have made way more than that in recent wknds.

UBER usually picks me up in 5 and shows me a tracker of my driver.
The time part doesn't even matter for me but I always get an Uber in about 5 minutes. There are always at least 10 cabs outside of my loft, my building is in the middle of a Hyatt, Hilton and a Marriot but I still ALWAYS use Uber.

Ok. When you call them to order delivery they go off estimate wait time given by cpu. That time is determined on how long it should take to make the pizza, how far from the store you are, and how long it should take a driver. It sees driver out on a run if they are. Well lets just say that the asshat that ordered the pizza before you gave wrong address or apt #. Now that driver will have to take extra time to call you and get correct address. Time est on pizza cpu now wrong from what you was told. Now driver gets correct address and its on the other side of delivery zone. Time est getting more and more off. Driver gets there and cust left because buddy showed up and he left with him. Driver then calls back to see what's up. Time est getting off more and more. Cust who ordered pizza looks at phone knows its not the driver and decides not to answer at all. Est off more and more. Now driver has to go back to shop and get your pizza and deliver it to you. By this time you are pissed and blaming the pizza place saying you took to long and you want free pizza. Was that really the pizza places fault for going to the original address. The wrong address at that. No it wasn't. Is it the drivers fault for trying. No but you get mad at him too. Now if that guy wouldn't caused them so many problems do you think you would have gotten your pizza faster?
