Jackson and Claiborne pretty much took care of the Creeks when we joined in the Creek civil war. The Brits had tried to get the Creeks (Redstick faction) to wait until they could better supply and reinforce them, but after the Fort Mimms massacre, it was on and the Redstick faction was simply unable to stand up against the Americans and their Creek and Choctaw allies.

Napoleon, like any great commander, cared a lot about logistics. He prepared such a large baggage train for the Russian campaign to make sure he wouldn’t run out of supplies that it overwhelmed the road infrastructure.
Ironically, packing so much food caused them to run out of food, and Katusov was practicing scorched earth.
