If more people acted right, we wouldn't have as many shootings, litter, blight, anger issues and ridiculousness. Simple rule to follow, like the golden rule, but there are many selfish folks out there.

maybe JBE got confused when he made his famous "stop worrying about what you have the right to do and start doing what's right" line?

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” I understand what the meaning is, but it is a terrible analogy, because in sports it is just factually not true. If you pass the ball, you didn’t just miss a shot.

Also things like “follow your dreams” are super overused and overrated. For instance, if your dream is to become a Medical Doctor, but you are 45 and graduated with a 2.0 GPA, no you should not follow that dream.

When I was a kid, when I was a little boy, I always wanted to be a dinosaur. I wanted to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex more than anything in the world. I made my arms short and I roamed the backyard, I chased the neighborhood cats, I growled and I roared. Everybody knew me and was afraid of me. And one day my dad said, "Bobby, you are 17. It's time to throw childish things aside," and I said, "Okay, Pop." But he didn't really say that, he said, "Stop being a fricking dinosaur and get a job."
