The sweet spot for threads

With some exceptions, seems to be about 3-4 pages before it devolves into two dudes arguing with each other at the public’s expense. When I see threads stuck at 5-6 pages I generally don’t even bother looking at it. Does that seem about right?

I think it depends on the subject.
Divorce thread with pics and a juicy story will get you ten pages easy of good material.
Something like a Honkus needing exfil from Wuhan or the gentlemen that needed help finding his brother will get you something much longer and rightfully so.
Maybe the holy grail of a thread is a Honkus tyoe getting divorced because his wife slept with Coach O, and on his mental recovery trip he needs rescuing from a capsized cruise ship while being separated from his brother who was off chasing Britney and they both get lost in the milieu. would be an all timer.
