We could have enough money to have Trump design and build all new school buildings, pay teachers 250K /year, and give every student a iPad, and MacBook, and the increase in level of student performance would not be measureable. The students and their parents have to value education, even the poorest inner city school will have a few students that do exceptionally well academically because they want to learn and will does so regardless of the environment.

There are many sound responses in this thread. Many, not all, of the poorly educated lead lives that result in societal problems and increased taxes for those of us who pay them. But, I don't give a continental damn anymore because it is a losing battle.
