Wapo

quote:

Most of the country has quit smoking, saving millions of lives and leading to massive reductions in cancer. That is, unless those Americans are poor, uneducated or live in a rural area.

This is just another example of how those in my social strata continue to subsidize the unhealthy habits and lifestyles of the underclass.

I for one would like to apologize to the beet farmers out there who have to shoulder this burden.

It seems pretty incredible considering not only the health factors (which everybody knows about at this point) but the expense.

Precisely. I reckon most of these proles do not have a pot to pee in, yet they find a way to spend $5/day on some lung darts - probably using their snap cards.

Good luck getting the blue collar workforce to stop smoking and drinking Budweiser.

Yep. Amazing that people willingly subject themselves to anything that negatively impacts their heath. I just don't understand.

My unofficial breakdown.

50% of smokers in the US are 40+
35% are under age of 40 and white trash
15% anyone else
100% of those smokers all litter.

No, thats why i said unofficial.

I cant stand smokers who smoke a butt then flick it into a storm drain, onto grass, onto the sidewalk, etc. Then they walk right by a trash can within 10 seconds. Or throwing cigs out a window. Or onto the putting green effing up 5' puts for eagle.

You show me a smoker who doesnt flick their butts anywhere but a trash can always i will be amazed.

Hey now - I'm educated, and comfortably retired before age 50, but choose to live in a rural area.
