I had a contrast CT 2 days ago, and got the call yesterday to schedule my surgical consult for my umbilical hernia. Crazy thing is...my father (87) has one that he never had treated, and my older brother (61) had surgery on his 10 years ago. In my family, at least, there appears to be a genetic susceptibility to umbilical hernias.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. It helps to see what the other old-timers on here have done about theirs.
