nobody. More brainwash tactics from you know who.

Been this way for years. Listen to radio and grocery ads especially. They have to pay the NFL to say Super Bowl in the ads. This is why many of them call it The Big Game

So does this somehow not apply to the World Series or other championships/major games? Why is the Super Bowl the only one this applies to?

The Super Bowl is in a league of its own. 1 single game. I’m sure other phrases owned as IP are equally protected. The World Series would love to have every grocer running deals and referencing their event, but that doesn’t happen, because nobody cares.

I give zero fricks about the NFL. I haven't watched NFL football in years since they went over-the-top woke and the Saints suck arse anyway. That includes the Super Bowl.

Ignoring the realities of law just so you can whine and bitch about something you dislike is pretty womanly though.

I wonder...what if someone made a product called the Soup-er Bowl

The NFL would probably sue and win because of phonetic resemblance.

Years ago, Microsoft sued some kid named Mike Rowe because his graphic design website was mikerowesoft.com

My company used to be a supplier, not a sponsor of the Super Bowl every year. Whenever we would market what we did for the Super Bowl we had to call it the ‘big game’. To use the Super Bowl phrase think you have to pay or be a sponsor.
