The "new" Lee High

When the petition get started to rename that school? Obviously it is offensive also, right?

It will be changed to Lehigh.

Well, they already changed to the Lee High Patriots... for whatever sense that makes.

Well, I demand that all of the parishes named after saints also be renamed. The use of religious figures in government issues is offensive, right?

They've been trying to change the Lee High in Huntsville, AL name for a while now.

Absolutely, and we don't want to offend Native Americans so let's get rid of Caddo, Catahoula, Avoyelles, Tensas, and any other parishes named after Indians. Matter of fact, let's just assign everything a number or a letter as to not offend anyone ever.

I always chuckle at how they changed the name from Lee High "Rebels" to Lee High "Patriots".

In the mid 70's they tried to change the mascot at Lee to the Steamboat pilots. Went so far to build a mini steamboat with whistle and CO2 "smoke" that came out the smokestacks on command. It lasted only a few weeks, members of the football team chopped it up with axes.

Change "Baton Rouge" as well because it is offensive to the native Indians.

They should have changed it to Lee High Generals. Decent name and Robert E. Lee was a fricking general.
