I am fine with him getting 6 years, now we just need to make sure all blacks that do it get the same sentence. Longer if they have priors of course....

The victim was 72.
Six years is a joke, this dude needs to have a much more severe sentence. It's hard to imagine a more chicken shite, cowardly act than this.
Abuse of the elderly is right there with child molestation, IMO.

I've seen about ten knockouts where the perps were black - haven't heard about any getting prosecuted for federal hate crimes.
This is exactly why I'm against hate crime laws - the selective enforcement.

I think if you just go up and assault any random person then you should face the same penalty and it should be very harsh. We shouldn't make it more acceptable to assault certain people than others.

I've seen district attorneys refuse to prosecute because they say that's not enough. They just avoid political shitstorms
