What a mess. She’s minorly dumb for being in Russia as an American right now in the first place not to mention with something so trivially illegal as oil for a pen. However, my God we can’t be handing them a horrible international criminal in return. The precedent that would set abroad. Lock up an American for next to nothing and get your bad people back from us

She travelled there and was detained before the Ukraine invasion, she was there to play basketball in the Russian leagues for some side coin during the US WNBA off-season.

I agree, it's like negotiating with terrorists. But I don't understand the absolute hatred towards Grinder. She is a young, extremely stupid, human being. Doesn't mean she deserves to be locked up for 9 years for marijuana. And yes I understand that is not America and it's Russia but it's still ridiculous.

She kinda sorta was the "Tom Brady" of the WNBA. She wasn't just a random player. She was the creme de la creme. As close to a superstar as you can get in the WNBA.

This is a good question and what little I read was that he had enormous quantities, not a handful of vape cartridges. I don't know the truth, hard to get truth out of there.
