Radar is crazy... Rain looks to actually be intensifying as band after band rotates down from Mississippi. Almost like a stationary tropical storm.

all seems calm in south BR bluebonnet/highland area. but looks like another band might come in within the next hour or two. was this a TS?

This is moving beyond the 1 in 500 year event criteria in many areas. Typically, nocturnal rain events die out during the morning hours but this looks to keep going...

I suggested we let people go around noon.

These slow moving depressions are way worse in my opinion.

Unless your on the coast with a Cat 3 or worse

Shear has been pretty high over the Gulf this week, so hard to say. From a rainfall perspective, Allison from 2001 holds the record at 29.92". This may challenge those totals.
