Dude that sucks. Mind if I ask if you have flood insurance? And I think I'd call the realtor and say "um, just fyi, it does indeed flood"

No I actually bought extra booze on the way home earlier... just in case. I've been laying on the couch and don't feel like moving.

Tough choice... stay here on the couch or get up and grab a beer?

My husband says the LL part is right. And he's full of common sense AND business sense.

I'm high and dry out in the country in Mire, but I have to go pickup my girlfriend on the way out of town near UL campus.

It's "never flooded here" according the the realator.

Sounds like you should be saying frick your Realtor, then.

Plus, you know there are FEMA flood maps, right?

I wish.

I hope our girl Darla is doing okay. Probably too busy cooking to look out the window.

Flood insurance, but contents aren't covered. Moving what I can upstairs now.

I just bought it in January.

No issues around campus. At least there wasn't when I was heading back to work an hour ago.

Doesn't matter if you have or haven't flooded before. This amount of rain can make anything flood.

She only lives a mile away blocks from where you're at. Go check on her and give her a bunch of shite about her glass doorknobs.

The guy in the black truck that decided that he would drive out in that water when that tanker is in the ditch was not too bright, huh?

People who drive lifted trucks and Jeeps tend to be the first ones to end up on their own roof in weather like this. Same with snow storms up north too.

Seriously best of luck. My parents camp flooded back in 2013 I think (when EVERYTHING along the Miss flooded) and they had insurance and it just sucked. Luckily it was "only" a camp.

Get to moving what you can.
