St. George did their best to draw out the areas they didn’t want to educate along racial lines

I never disputed that Central and Zachary were good school districts so link was not necessary. I was merely stating that you can point to Central and Zachary's success all you want, but in MY OPINION the results will not be the same and gave my perceptions that support my opinion. You are entitled to your opinion.
A mass exodus from private schools is the only way I see a StG ISD having any success. I just don't think its going to happen.
The parents that I speak with its a moot point because we are at the age where our kids are in private high schools and are products of the private schools as well.
However, I also know that everyone talks a big game and I BELIEVE that when it's time to actually remove your kids from their schools that most will take a wait and see approach. In general people don't like change and want what's best for their kids. If the friends go they will go but who is going first? The wait and see approach is why I believe a StG ISD ultimately will not have the same results as Central and Zachary.
No shite, but there will be two superintendents, two school boards, two attorneys, two motor pool managers for the buses, etc. for basically the same number of schools. These are positions that are duplicated hence "doubling" the cost for essentially the same services.

Have you actually talked with the parents of kids in private and parochial schools in the SG area? I have, and the majority of them would love to save tens of thousands in tuition each year.

As far as paying twice, Once SG ISD is established, EBR will have less to pay for, and SG will pick up the tab for their schools. The bill will be split. no one in SG will b=pay for EBR and visa versa.

That's BR's tax money now. Just keep throwing it down a hole.

You can form a new school system but it won't change anything. You are kidding yourself if you think there's going to be a mass exodus from the private schools to the newly formed school district. T
No, but our taxes could be cut, right.
The fewer the kids in public schools the less tax required, right?
The SGISD will start small and have to grow. Older students will likely stay in their current schools, but younger families would gradually move to public schools in time if the SG people show they have good schools.
