This story is depressing.

I apologize for the shitty timing. But I really appreciate the fact that people have been so understanding about my Debbie Downer posts.

If nothing else, maybe this can help the dad's that have great relationships with their kids appreciate that fact even a little bit more than they already do...and that they didn't have a child with a succubus.

Dale listen you payed all your child support and that is one thing that both your daughter and her mom can't use against you. My experience the mom of your daughter will show her true colors and the older your daughter gets the more she will see how vile her mom can be and then it will dawn on her that maybe she did not give you (Her Dad) a fair assessment. Most of the ex's are fricked up in the first place if she chose to make you a villain throughout your child's lifetime especially if you wanted any kind of relationship with your daughter. Trust me give it some time anf I guarantee your daughter will want to know the truth and not what her mom told her. Head up and live your life

I'm sure its rewarding, it's just stupid to think that something we've been doing since the beginning of time makes us special.

I'm not sure it makes us special

But arguably it's the ultimate human experience

Agreed, I have pissed away more opportunities than most people get, have made terrible decisions on my direction in life in the past, yet I still found success somehow.

Be it the grace of God, luck, or just the stars aligning, all of my frick ups led me to the awesome kids I have.

I went through life thinking exclusively of my self and what made me happy at the time, until I met my first kid. He showed me what's important in life.

Thanks for the kind words. We had a decent relationship until I brought all of this up to her a couple of years ago. But having to go along with the lies always made it feel like any real bond between us would have to wait until she could hear the full story.

Her not even wanting to hear it made me glad that I decided to make the move across country a few years ago to get a change of scenery for the next chapter of life.

I’ve made many poor decisions in my life and will probably mess up at some time again but being a father to my three boys is the greatest joy I have ever had. They are hard headed like their daddy but the sweetest boys ever. My youngest has downs and we have fought through health issues, but when I look into his eyes it makes it all worth it! I’m tearing up now and fighting the urge to wake them up and give them kisses!! God bless Fathers and all we help make!!
