Kids. I saw or read something that talked about how he didn't want his kids seeing him doing what he was doing in his earlier days, which is why he started changing his image and started off with doing nutty professor, etc, etc.
Even Coming to America 2 was much more watered down and IMO, the elements that made Coming to America funny was taken out of CTA 2.
