There is no better example in the world than the Explorer I that the lug to lug dimension is critical in determining a watches size.

That is a magnificent watch. One of my favorite Calatravas ever. It is the very essence of stealth wealth. I have never likes the hobnail bezels on Caltravas but that smooth bezel and "hiding" the Clous de Paris hobnail pattern on the sides is genius and I love it there.
