My pit-mix-mutt is 6 years old. So far, zero crimes committed. I didn’t actively seek out a pit. He was a stray that I took in. He’s probably been off of his bed twice today. Once for food, once to go to the bathroom.
I’m all for controlling the breed, making sure certain people can’t own or breed the pups. With that said, some of the comments on here are...ignorant at best.

Look, I can’t stand terrorists or gang bangers either. But a pit bull...it’s a dog. I’ve had one for six years. All this message board will tell you is, ‘he doesn’t bite, until he does.’
I get it. The only time I have dogs attack me are when frickin chihuahuas get loose. It’s not rocket science. Secure your back yard. Train your dog. I’d do that with any dog I have, much less the mutt.

First off comparing people to dogs is stupid, they don’t get the same consideration and leeway. They simple don’t matter as much. And I never advocated for the breed to be erased but pits account for like 90% of all dog attacks that end in death or serious injury. The problem is when they attack it’s a whole different kind of attack from pretty much every other breed known to man.
