That’s right. The NFL is a privately owned organization. They can enforce whatever rules they want. Assuming the school is public, they cannot.

Something that I've thought about the pledge of allegiance. It's essentially a contract of loyalty that a person is making with the country. But it's also something that we say before we are even old enough to enter into contracts or understand the consequences and meaning. Doesn't this on some level invalidate it? Does this seem questionably unethical to anyone else? Seems kind of like a contract under duress to me. Even the Catholics wait to allow people to make the decision if they want to be confirmed in the faith. Even though in practice in my experience there isn't much of a choice to it.

Yours was just the classic error while calling someone a moron.
