It can't be worse than 10 E of BR, out towards Prairieville. Did they ever get done with that?

I'm not sure if it's even been under construction for longer than a year at this point.

There has been construction on the interstate 10 from Orange to Beaumont since 1987 ( 32 years). No fricking exaggeration.

Does anyone know which construction company has the contract for that project, or is it multiple companies?

Definitely Take 73 through Port Arthur, I’ve never had traffic issues going that route.
Driving back from a Houston yesterday, I sat in a traffic jam for an hour and 15 minutes because of an accident right east of Winnie.

Yeah, but that’s expected in LA. Texas is supposed to have their shite together.

Anyway, there’s no stretch of highway in LA that’s been under construction for over two decades. Especially a fricking Interstate highway.

I agree with this, but I find it sad that there is more construction between Orange and Beaumont than there is between the Louisiana state line and New Orleans.

On the flip side the completed parts of the Texas I-10 construction are nicer than any of the interstate in Louisiana.

only construction going on right now is the 210 bridge. That started in January and is almost complete.

Whoever they are, they’re filthy rich off this one contract.

I still can’t believe this isn’t a bigger story. A stretch of Interstate highway maybe 20-30 miles long that’s been under construction for over two decades.

How many fatal accidents have happened as a result of this bullshite?

Not really.. There are shitty sections also.

And what the frick is up with the 65 mph speed limit on the section of 3 lane Interstate west of Winnie? It’s 3 fricking lanes, why 65?

And why is it 3 lanes in one of the most deserted areas of the state?

It starts in Winnie and is 3 lanes all the way into Houston.

I love the 3 lanes, but the speed limit should be at least 70 if not not 75. It’s bullshite.

lol. You're acting like it's the road from Robert Lee to Brownwood. Golden Triangle has a decent population. Most the time those 3 lanes have decent traffic.

I just measured it on Google maps. From the Sabine River to the beginning of Beaumont is 25 miles.

So a 25 mile section of Interstate has been under constant construction for well over two decades, and is still nowhere near being finished. And no one is asking questions. WTF?
