Termite Contract Advice

I live in the Metairie area and recently bought a house that passed the termite inspection but there is no active termite contract on the house. Does anybody have any good recommendations for a local company that has reasonable prices and will standby their warranty?

Reasonable prices for a company that will stand by their warranty? No, you're going to pay for that.
I use Terminix because from my research, they have one of the best warranties in the industry. I pay $300 a year to keep the warranty and they will come out for free anytime I need them to reinspect anything.
ETA: The initial inspection and treatment was $1,000.

I have terminix as well. Initial investment hurts but it's well worth it imo

I might look into that. I had a quote from j and j exterminating. They were a decent amount more.

A lot of their money goes to pay that guy to sing in the commercials. Well worth it imo.

Terminix offers contracts that will kill the termites and repair the damages as well. The contracts that cover damages are only offered to homes that "qualify" after they inspect the home.

I use Arrow, and they are reasonably priced. I'm not sure if they operate in Metairie or what they would charge to start a contract. I bought new construction and the contractor already had a termite contract on the property.
Only problem I have with them is that every time they come out to inspect they stick a, "Protected by Arrow Pest Control" sign in my yard even though I always take it down immediately. Some how I doubt termites are going to read the sign and get scared off.

I’m going to warn you, if you do happen to get bad termite damage in the future even when the company comes and sprays yearly you will most likely have to take them to court. I had a family friend that this happened to and terminix kept giving excuses trying to think of anyway to get around the contract without paying. He finally had to take them to court to get them to repair all termite damage

Most termite contracts don't cover damage. You have to get a specific type of treatment done to the house in order for damage to be legally covered usually.

I have terminix, the house had a contract on it when I purchased it so I just kept it up because I heard the initial fee was expensive. I don't know much about it I just send them my $300 bucks a year.

Yes, it is very difficult to get any termite company to cover any damages. Their contracts are full of "outs" and only certain types of treatments even qualify for their "warranty."

Thanks everybody for the input. I know these companies are tricky in what they will or will not cover so I just wanted to see what the best option to take would be.
