One of my last classes in undergrad there was a 25 year old frat star. Wore the backwards flat bill hat and chubbies. He came to class hungover multiple times

When I retire at 55, I'm gonna go back and finish.

There was a guy in my fraternity who was an undergrad for 8 years (2001-2009). Not a stupid guy, just never really wanted to grow up. He did end up graduating.

To put it into perspective, he and my cousin were the same age. He was still in undergrad when my cousin was in his 3rd year of med school.

Took me long enough. I started out with extremely low GPAs, and got scholastically dropped for 2.5 years total. Worked for a while, and when I was making good money, I didn't go back to school.

Decided to crank down when I went back and enjoyed my classes, so my grades got better. Didn't have enough people in my major, so three of us got held back a year on that. Beginning to end, the first one took 9 years. It was fun as hell for a long time. Once I got to maybe 24 or 25, I stopped partying so hard and focused on school and work more.

This second one has been more on schedule. Hopefully gonna graduate right on the 4 year mark. Only thing that has slowed me down this time is class availability.

Knew a guy who was a year older than me. Started in the fall of 2010. Was a good student for like two years. Went on spring break in 2012, the end of his SO year and came back changed. He got drunk like 60-70 nights in a row. Ended up going to OLOL for nursing because he couldn't get in anywhere else. Failed out of that after a year and a half. At one point he had 220 credits and no degree. I think he finally graduated in december with a General Studies degree. Don't know what he does, he still hangs around 18-19 year old college kids

A guy I worked with during my undergrad took 7-8 years to get a Physical Education degree, yes P.E. And no he didnt take time off to work full time or anything. He would register for classes, and not do anything but party. He would drop all his classes right before the dead line. He has a job on the football staff at Troy now.

Had this guy who was a hotel and restaurant major. Lived in the frat house at the age of 24-25. Came in drunk and flipped over our pool table. Went to jail for breaking in the zta house and stealing a composite. Was publicly ridiculed on Facebook by the zetas. He eventually graduated but recently stole all of his buddies money for a bachelor party weekend. Idk where he's been lately after that.

Spending years developing those soft skills while in undergrad seems to have paid off for him.

GF has a brother who is 28 and still in undergrad. He gets "help" from his parents financially but can't seem to find and keep a good part time job.

I think his coursework has included, but is not limited to, japanese, accounting, business, theatre, 'the arts' (or some other BS), physics and earth studies.

I knew quite a few General Studies majors back in the day. They considered themselves a peg above the Education majors.

I knew a guy at LSU who was in his late 30s and working on his third bachelor's degree. The first two were obtained from elsewhere. He was a professional student.

I'm starting again at 32. Went for two years and made good grades just couldn't decide what to major in so I went in the oilfield. Going get an engineering degree. Should be easy with the knowledge I have accrued.
