Regardless of the breed, that's not a good thing, and I say that as a dog lover, trainer and owner of a Chihuahua who sleeps in the bed every night.

While we're on the subject of breeds that shouldn't exist. A chihuahua is an abomination and has as much purpose as a french bulldog. I know a guy that has a french bulldog and he has to wipe his arse after he shits. Something about his a-hole being up too high or whatever.

Anyhoo. I'll take a baby eating, Muslim of the dog breeds pitbull over an awful, yammering, ratty looking chihuahua any day.

My god, how have you not strangled that shaky, trembling, noisy little rodent dog yet?

I'm sure it's adorable and brings you great joy.

Oh and good morning.

Also, the education piece was enlightening. No kidding, I mean that. Upvote deployed.

Had 3 rogue pits down the road who the owner let roam. I walked past one day enroute to my GFs house at the time and was intercepted by them and followed all the way up to her yard. Thinking if I just stayed calm and walked normal they would go away, they didn't and right before I crossed into her yard the biggest of the pack bit me on the back oh my calf. I go into her house bleeding and her mom put some bandages on my leg, I didn't see them again when I left. My Dad comes home from work later that afternoon to catch me by the kitchen sink changing out the bandages, I tell him what happened and he just nods, turns and walks out.
A few weeks go by and I don't see the dogs. One morning Im sitting at the table talking to my Dad and I bring it up thinking He would say something like He went and had a harsh talk with the owner ect.
I'll never forget the convo.
I haven't seen those pits down the road since I got bit.
"Yeah, you wouldn't." Chuckles as he flips his newspaper to the next page.
What does that mean?
"I took care of it."
You went and talked to the owner?
"No, I took care of it."
What did you do?
"Lets just say dogs love hotdogs, but I may have added some rat poison. Hey, if an a-hole owns dogs like that and just lets em roam around biting ppl, they kinda get what they deserve in the end, don't you think?"
Yeah. Thanks.
"No problem, Son. it was actually kinda funny, they ran right up to my truck, all I had to do was roll down the window and dish out the yummies."
How much did you give em?
Chuckles "Enough to where they couldn't be saved."

TLDR: Pit v. old frick in trail bike death race

I ride in a hilly part of Nashville *Not the dude dressed for le tour with five cars behind him on busy street.

Anyway, a lot of down-gear slogging uphill but the payoffs are sweet.

Part of route has a roughly 600ft down 500 up bowl. No wind today so hitting around 30mph and pass a guy walking his pit, which easily and instantly rips the leash from his grip and tears arse at me.

Gets about two feet from chains before I make some space on the remaining 100 or so feet down.

Start uphill, downshifting, look over shoulder and this m’fer is still in hot pursuit and gaining.

Instead of wasting energy on not beating him to the top, I figure best stop and try to rock this animal over it’s dome with bike frame. Circling back, gave loud “get your fricking dog off my arse!” to owner.

Wearing earbuds, so it was maybe louder than I thought and/or dude’s calls finally had an effect, but pit reluctantly started back down the hill.

I know super CSB, but I thought of this thread right after.
