Roger, I've always felt like I was born in the wrong place and felt more at home in places like Montana, Oregon, Washington or Colorado. But life happened, I stayed, got married and had kids, but I still feel the same way. We'll see. I have a kid almost in HS at this point. Her needs are more important to me than mine. After that, who knows.

100% rooted in Louisiana due to family connections. Once my parents are gone, I see my self getting out and moving to Colorado. No idea what I would or could do for a living, but it’s on my lists to do.

got family in LA and every few years more leave LA for places like Texas. Cant blame them. LA is a brain drain. It's nice to visit but I'd never live in that sweaty humid hellhole

08 gets butthurt. He can't understand why anyone would leave La

Sounds like an awesome kid

She is. I'm a nervous wreck with her camping with my 71 yr old father though. He's an avid outdoorsman and a country boy but he'll take her deep in the woods and I'm worried about the bears.

I know how miniscule the threat is but you have kids so I think you understand. My kid is a thousand miles away in a tent in bear country

A light burns a little more every day.

I think I would literally kill my mother, whom I love dearly, if I left and moved up north and took the grand babies.

That and the fear of the unknown as far as work and what I’d be qualified for.

I could actually make more outside of LA. I've stayed for family reasons. Actually, I could probably make a decent living in all 50 states in my field.

Mine were 5 and 7 when we moved. It scared me to tell anyone, particularly moving and having no job lined up but they all surprised me at how supporting they were.

Not long after, everyone else started moving, including my parents.

I spent a few days in OKC this past week and I really enjoyed it. I never really never thought anything about it before. I don’t know if It'd be a retirement destination but I could see myself there having a solid career easily in my line of work

Plenty of people know what I’m talking about

Why would someone like you, that doesn’t ever talk sports, doesn’t live in Louisiana, constantly and continue to spend so much time on a Louisiana sports branded website? All you do is shite on Louisiana and post stock photos from Alaska trying to convince and justify your existence in Alaska. FYI, no one gives a frick

It’s really sad and pathetic

I wish but I know my family would never leave. They really don’t see how terribly Louisiana sucks. They’ve been here their whole life and really don’t know much else.

I have a niece In th army in Colorado. She loves it. My oldest daughter does nothing but talk about moving there and going to school there after she graduates. (4 years to go). My middle girl (9) is impressionable and wants to do what her older sister wants to do. She talks about it a ton as well.

Just seems like everything points there for me. Maybe one day.

Sounds like pure jealousy and projection :

The only justifying is you, attacking everyone who's had the nads to do what you can't. Simply because you're stuck

Not a bad mid sized city. I know a few folks who live there.

Got a sister in Tulsa

I can do my job from anywhere. I’m not stuck, I choose to stay where I’m at.

Matter of fact, I do quite a bit of business with a lot of fisherman in Alaska

Had an aunt who lived in Leadville. Absolutely loved it there.

She worked in Vail, but couldn't afford to live there so she commuted.

Your constant jealousy and projection say otherwise

This thread, where your acting like a 13 year old girl is a great example.

You know nurses stories about Arizona almost make you cry
