It's disgusting. And most of the posters are correct. Myrtle Beach is a shite hole for the most part of 20 blocks.

I've lived my entire life about 25 miles from Myrtle Beach. It sucks from May to September, but it isn't as bad as it's made out to be the rest of the year. It's good for a golf destination and has the restaurants and amenities of a city 10 times its size. Plus the areas surrounding Myrtle Beach proper (Conway, Cherry Grove Beach, NMB, Garden City and Murrells Inlet) are all great places to visit. The people on here knocking Myrtle but thinking Charleston is one big plantation fantasy forget that the other half of Charleston the tourists don't see looks like a West African ghetto.

My parents live Calabash NC about 35mins from the ruckus.
North Myrtle isn't that bad with plenty of nice property. But Myrtle is fricking trash.
