Not exactly the same but my grandmother, who was a depression/post depression child, told me about eating a horse back in the day. she said it didn’t taste to bad but when you’re hungry and haven’t had meat in a couple days, you got over what it was.
If in Europe and it was offered, I think I’d at least try it.
