It amazes me that people will defend this idiot kid just to take a shot at police. This kid is a moron and deserves everything that comes to him.

I'm not sure what happened but from the date it looks like a drunken mardi gras incident involving an under aged teen. Officer Nick Breaux seems like a piece of work. He probably hangs out with the JB's crew and hangs a confederate flag.

I'm sure he didn't deserve it.

The cop was on the losing end of similar lawsuits before. Every one is basing their opinions on what the police said.
I can tell you if an undercover cop starts yelling from 50-60 feet away at you, you may end up like these kids did.
There is alot they didn't say in the TV interview.I wasn't there but I know what some of the eye witnesses will testify.

group of high school kids yelled frick the police to some douche bag cops, cops got mad, arrested them, then figured out what to charge them with.

Moral of the story, do something to make a cop mad and you will get arrested. It's that simple, and fricked up

The JP undecovers at the parades can be a bit tough though. I've seen people tossed around before. They wear normal clothes with no badges visible, and they grab first and talk second.

Exactly! How can someone know you are a real undercover cop? Hell there have been many reports all over of people pulling people over pretending to be a cop. If I see someone slamming people down and stuff like that and is dressed in regular clothes and not letting everyone know that they are a cop and then I might would do something about it.

This is exactly what happened. I mentioned this before on the Saints board, I was arrested and removed from a Saints game for calling a cop an a-hole, after he randomly threw a friend of mine against the wall for having saggy pants. I was thrown face first into elevator doors, had cuffs on so tight it bruised my wrists, then brought to superdome jail, were a fat white shirt just sat there staring at me.
I was charged with interfering a police investigation and released with a court date the next day. Of course I could not make court the next day so I took a bench warrant. I made a complaint on the officer, had three witnesses come and make the same complaint and the DA's office called me(by me I mean my lawyer of course) to plea to contempt of court only which I did. $250 fine. (better than one night in OPP)

All because an officer was just mad at the world.

The only good thing was I lied to the cop and said I didn't have my ticket stub on me. This was when you could leave to smoke and come back in. I just went to the smoking entrance, showed my stub and got back in.

Same guy with the baggy pants from my 2004 Superdome story, in 2007 we were smoking pot at a Mardi Gras parade. This fine arse girl comes out of nowhere asking if she can hit the joint. He hands her the joint, I see he reach into her bag and pull out a radio. Which wasn't even necessary because we had five undercovers on us in seconds. I luckily was not given anything as my name ran clear, he was given a citation for marijuana.
(no arrests made)
But what got me is, before the word police was said, or before we knew anything, we were both in UFC holds.
Now I do have the say after the officers saw we were calm, they were very very nice. Even gave the "I don't think this should be illegal, but my job is to enforce the law" speech. Very nice police, though I rarely have trouble personally (except with NOPD, but they suck so frick them). But I know for a fact they grab first then identify. You do that to the wrong person and of course they will throw down.
