What could the governor do?
Even the council is finding the charter doesn't account for someone who wants to be a complete piece of shite?
The council won't be quick to reign her in because they are the next to fill the spot.

The Lousiana Governor just flew on taxpayer dime to watch a football game and no one cared.
Not just New Orleans.
Look at what we pay to fly the President around. Or too and from vacations.

He can reel her in and explain to her how other mayors of this state are scrambling to find any extra dollars they can to fix problems in their locale. And, we she bankrupts the city and demands money from the state that could have been better spent, those small town mayors will not forget.

Teedy ain't listening to anyone. Her travels aren't enough to bankrupt the city either.
The next governor has given this type of behavior the ok by saying that repaying the expenses is something that wasn't typically enforced.
Seems politicians that can stop this aren't keen to do so. Probably a reason.

Her travels won’t but her not being in her office while everything is crumbling around her doesn’t send a good message. Streets and water pipes won’t fix themselves. And what it costs today will be significantly higher when the next mayor has to figure out how to pay for it.
I’ll leave crime out of the discussion because she doesn’t believe it really is an issue.

He flew coach on a commercial flight to meet with Loyds of London to advocate for lowering our insurance rates as well as representing our state at an NFL football game.
I have not 1 issue with that.
You have no idea how many politicians fly to meet with Loyds on a weekly basis on YOUR tax paying dime.
