It doesnt explain anything as far as God goes. Someone would still have to create the software, it doesnt just make itself.

It takes away from how awesome God is, with the whole "let's add some code for child cancer" thing.

According to Nietzsche, no.

According to Kant, kinda.

if you watch those shows on History channel about Aliens, the claim by ancients, by their writings/wall paintings was that Aliens put us here.

They were testing a species, and wanted to study it, like the truman show.

But who put the aliens there? You aren't thinking big picture

Either someone or something had to create the aliens. Same thing goes for the matrix.

I think you're missing the bigger picture. If this universe is a simulation then all of its laws must be programmed by its creator, if there is a more real universe outside of it then there's no reason to think that it obeys the same laws. All of our laws of nature (and even causality) could be arbitrary, so this chicken and egg argument is moot.

You can't apply known logic to an unknowable realm.

thats what I am asking. If we don't know what the creator is than we still don't have an answer for God

Not necessarily. If we're living in some sort of simulation or matrix, then none of our science, laws of physics, etc. mean anything. Outside of our simulation/matrix, how do you know the aliens didn't just come from nothing?

No you didn't. You contradicted yourself by admitting that there would need to be a creator in the case of virtual reality.

No, what I said was our idea of causality is based on the universe that we know. There's no reason that something has to come from something else in a universe that runs on different laws.

Why does there have to be a creator if we are living in a simulation? Again, that means what we know as science means nothing
