True, most of our patients are institutionalized, and have been vaccinated, and have few walk-ins and transfers from outlying hospitals, and are at-risk patients( lots of co-morbidity); so not the average cross-strata of population, just saying the breakthrough infections are what we are seeing..

For sure…

Yet there are still people here calling the doctor an idiot and has no idea what he’s talking about because someone saw a meme from www.thegovtpopulationcontrol.com

All I know is this… even the worst doctor out there is still infinitely smarter than I will ever think I am so even bad medical advice is way better than anything any idiot sees or posts on the fricking OT.

In other words, you can’t be or don’t want to be convinced that it’s not a population killer or immediate death if you take the vaccine?

I would venture to say that 90% of the OT and 96% of the Politards on the Poli Board want you to believe the vax is bad, it will kill you, if you get it you’re a sheep, blah blah blah. They can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that some have consulted their physician, weighed the pros and cons and still got the vaccine. As for me, after careful consideration, I chose to get the Pfizer. I’ve had no side effects and am still alive and kicking. I believe it’s a person’s choice for themselves and none of my business. Either get it or don’t, I’m not concerned or interested at all.

Novavax COVID 19 vaccination when it is available. It is based on tried and true technology.
The Novavax has more new technology than the mRNA vaccines

A sniffle for you might equal a ventilator for your neighbor.

I'm missing the part where you make the argument about why anyone should sacrifice their wants and needs for their neighbor's?

If the neighbor who can get sick easily is scared, THEY can get vaccinated, wear a mask, social distance, etc.

Stop with this "we're all in it together" bullshite. You take care of you.

I can't imagine any PCP telling a patient that they shouldn't get vaccinated. Maybe some might suggest against it for a kid.

Matthew 22:36-40
King James Version
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

What are you talking about? It use subunits(viral fragments) as an antigen.Same technology used for whooping cough, diphtheria tetanus and hepatitis B.I and millions of people have had these vaccines and very few adverse reactions.

Stupid bible verse from CelticTiger here

So your argument is based off of a purely fictional tale from tHe BiBlE?

Good one.

ETA: I, too, partake in such juvenile affairs and try to force my own beliefs on others based on my interpretation of Steinbeck's East of Eden.

quote:

“And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual. This is what I am and what I am about.”

See how easy that was?

So freedom until the data says no more freedom?

If the data says Covid has turned into the love child of Ebola and the plague, then quarantine may be the only option. Until then, freedom.

FWIW, I am a VERY strong proponent of choice. It would have to be incredibly bad for me to take that option off of the table. This current situation does not meet those parameters for me (not even close).

No, but it is more contagious, and less virulent.

LDH data for July 15th thru 21st was 10% of those hospitalized were vaccinated and 15% of those who died were vaccinated.

Sure it is overwhelming majority who have severe issues are unvaccinated but morbidity rate is worse for those vaccinated.

Just gonna leave this here...

some insurance plans are paying doctors $15-25 incentives per vax.

Conflict of interest?
