It's 5 minutes away, just like all of the other bars in Old Town

Hi-Fi is trashy now but the bars around it are great

Stay at Tempe Mission Palms Hotel in the middle of downtown Tempe. You'll be walking distance to about 60 restaurants and bars on Mill Avenue. It is located close to freeways all over the metro area so you can zip to the lakes quickly. Saguaro Lake and Canyon Lake are the closest and very pretty. Plenty of hiking on the Apache Trail both prior to and beyond Canyon Lake. There is also a light rail for travel into Phoenix from Hotel.

This hotel offers airport shuttle service and if you like a car can be rented while staying at hotel to do Apache Trail, Sedona, or whatever you like.

I stayed at the camelback inn last year in May. Perfect weather. I highly recommend the camelback.
I wish we did Sedona tho.
Hike camelback mountain.
If your wife is into architecture, frank Lloyd wrights winter home and school is not far. Pretty good tour. You can really see just how forward thinking FLW was with his homes.

Hey dude, what is your email? Gotta pharmaceutical question your experience might be able to answer, and I don't want to start a thread or clutter up someone else's thread.

I was in Scottsdale a few months ago. I went out with a colleague and the bar we went to was a total cougar den. Local told me it was pretty common and the Scottsdale was full of rich divorcees.
