where'd you get a deal like that? In my building that would go for $2000 at least. Granted, I'm in Courthouse.

just a few years back, got in good with an owner and had a nice 1/1 in colonial village at 1450. best damn location ever

I'm spoiled to have grown up in the DC metro area. I really had no idea how good I had it until I lived in other parts of the country. My first fall at LSU was a complete culture shock after living in NOVA

Not a stereotypical NOVA kid comment at all

They are annoying in DC, though.

I thought this was standard throughout the country. Went there in December and loved it. May take another weekend in the fall there.

It is, but for a good number of the tourists its their first experience on a public transportation system.

Yep, I live here. I'll never forget playing on an evening softball team on the grounds of the Washington Monument at dusk.

Are you still part of the softball scene? I need to make friends and I'm thinking about joining one of those intramural sports leagues.

I'm in NYC for a while and may visit a friend there on my week off. Is there a lot to see for a 24 year old single guy? Saw most of the monuments on a day trip but didnt have time to soak it all in

Find a big boy job and live in western Loudoun County. I lived in that area for 14 years doing IT work. Out of 14 years, I went to the district about 10 times

It's where i live, and a fantastic area. DC is nice to visit but the traffic around the entire area is horrendous. I enjoy living about 40 miles away from DC for that reason (and i still have to deal with the traffic)

For those talking about DC architecture, this probably Germans but potentially humorous article about the bad side of it may interest you.

As someone who grew up a central/southern Virginian, I hate the DC area more than just about anywhere else in this country.
