The CDC was engaged in what is called a noble lie. Everyone with an IQ above 100 knew that the CDC was only saying that to prevent mask hoarding so that hospitals would have enough. They reversed their advice when the mask shortage was fixed. I applaud them for it. It helped ensure that our available masks would go to where they would do the most good - to doctors and nurses.

What probably happened here is the cougher took a deep breath and let it out just as she got to the driver's seat (unintentionally). The cloud of virus gave this man a quick acting "super infection" (high viral load) which his body could not handle. This probably happens across the nation many times per day.

Obesity at even low levels is very dangerous for Covid patients

Wait, so you are under the impression that there are masks available for purchase? None of the shortages—of anything—have been “fixed”.

There is a shortage for the general population. There is not a shortage in the medical field.
They made sure the medical industry got them before the same dumb motherfrickers hoarding toilet paper took every extra mask in the United States.
Don’t worry, announcing that everyone should wear a mask in public should take care of that in a hurry. You won’t see any type of mask on a shelf for six months.

We definitely won’t. However, now that manufacturing has ramped up, hospitals will be able to maintain the supply of masks they need. All of the masks being pumped out by 3M and others will go straight to the hospitals.
It would have been a disaster to have a run on the masks before the manufacturing of masks was at full/peak production.
I’m assuming most people will just use a cloth mask or a bandana.

I’m assuming most people just aren’t going to do it. If the CDC wants me to wear a mask then give me a mask.
I’m not wearing a dumbass bandana to Kroger.

That is 110% false. We’ve got places issuing healthcare workers one mask per every 3 days or even a week in some cases. They’re given a paper bag to leave it in between uses. That’s almost more dangerous than no mask at all.

The CDC was advising people to not wear a mask, I think it could've help this guy.
I heard months ago that sick people should be wearing the masks, whereas if you aren’t sick the mask doesn’t help much besides preventing you from touching your mouth.
The main benefit of a mask is it preventing a cougher to spread molecules on everything within distance.
The lady is a piece of shite.

I’ve always wondered why god decided to shite on Louisiana so much. Then you get to talking to a few of their best and brightest here and it becomes pretty clear why the state is constantly being tally whacked by God.
