Take down all the statues and monuments

Since Mitch is declaring historical monuments a public nuisance, I think the MLK bust and pedestal on MLK Blvd. and Claiborne needs to go. It has the name of the hatemonger Malcolm X on it. It offends me and makes me afraid for my whiteness every time I drive past it.

Malcolm X was far more racist than any of the generals ever were.
Also MLK's legacy as an adulterer, expert of plagiarism, and disturber of the peace needs to be recorded if the bust remains.

I seriously do not believe that this place deserves a history. It deserves the unremarkable truck stop culture that they so aspire to be... a place to get drunk, throw up and piss on the streets, and eat Dave and busters food. That's much more their speed.
I'm seriously done with the lot of them. NOLA is fast on its way to becoming an unforgettable last stop watering hole, and one you have to duck and cover in order to get there since they care more about ridding the city of historical monuments than they do in dealing with the crime and killings eating it alive. That seems to be the only thing they think deserves preserving.

No doubt...places like Memphis and San Antonio are WAYYY better to visit than New Orleans. It didn't used to be that way, but now yea we are there.
