Because systemic racism is a one way street in America. You can’t be racist if you don’t hold the power. This is how it was explained to me.

My opinion based on research is that there is no systemic racism in this country and I use facts to back up my opinion. Let's look at the FBI's own numbers with regards to crime (and I'm only using crime instead of housing, banking etc because this seems to be what people are talking about today): 69.6% of victims were white, 21.6% were black. 53.9% of offenders were white, while 27.4% were black. 69.6% of arrestees are white, while 24.7% were black. So of course more whites will be killed than blacks just based off of simple statistics.

But here is where the numbers get wonky. 44.2% of murders are committed by whites while 53.1% are committed by blacks. (The numbers are even more skewed if you look at the under 18 age group) That's an astounding difference based on the fact that blacks make up 13% of the population. The numbers are only out of whack (compared to the population makeup) in murder, suspicion and gambling (who knew). White people do most of the crime and are arrested for most of the crimes (because of population numbers). Black people commit murder, suspicion (what exactly is that?) and gambling offenses (still who knew?) disproportionately to other races but it isn't because of population. What's the cause here? I don't know the answer to that. Blacks make up 33% of fatal shooting victims. But who is doing the shootings? Well according to the murder numbers 53.1% is done by blacks even though they only make up 13% of the population.

So my finding is that whites commit more criminal activity, and are the victims of more criminal activity and are arrested more, and are killed by the police more. This is all expected. But what isn't expected is the reaction of people who don't take time to learn the facts and actual numbers and instead rely on their "feelings" in order to loot, riot, destroy property and steal all in the name of "systemic racism", that according to the data, doesn't even exist. Racism exists, namely against blacks, whites, asians, hispanics and every other race. That can't be denied. The entire country wishes there were less of it. But the reason we see it more against blacks is because media reports what they want to report. They only seem to write articles online and in papers/magazines that are in line with a narrative that they want to push. That narrative is that blacks are being treated differently because of their skin color. That they are arrested and killed more than white people. It's just not accurate according to the data. They push it and we believe it. We need to stop believing and start looking at the numbers for ourselves. The data doesn't show that at all. The data shows that everything is in line with what we expect, except 3 categories.

I've spent the last 20+ years analyzing data and I'm fairly confident I've gotten my numbers right since I pulled them from the FBI and the Bureau of Justice Statistics and then analyzed them myself. I haven't broken the data down by state, etc. because that would take too much time. I give you the data and let you form your own opinion as I have (and stated above). Dive down the rabbit hole and see what you come up with.
