The hearing is over and they are waiting to see who speaks.
The news station I'm watching said the Holloways were able to hear his confession in real time. Sounds like this occurred when he took the polygraph.
Don't know if they will provide the details on why her remains will never be found. I was trying to remember the rumors when this was going on as to whether there was a fire. I recall there was talk that his father helped him get rid of the body. The father is deceased. I wonder if there was mention of any involvement of his two friends who were with him at some point.

If he managed to get her into the ocean, she disappeared into bones quickly and then into nothing not long after that. No body or remains will ever be found.
Other thoughts. If his father is dead and no money is available, I am shocked he remains alive in Peru. Prison life would be cheap down there unless you can show some value. Maybe he is a hit man inside.

Prosecution is speaking now. Beth will speak after.
She released a statement already saying Joran put her in the water after he killed her.

Beth was smiling the entire time. She said this was better than closure because they got justice for Natalee. She believes what Joran said. She believes he acted alone. She said what happened was heartbreaking, but they have gone from victims to victors. She is satisfied with this. When asked if there might be a prosecution in Aruba now, she didn't know, but she has gotten what she needs. She doesn't seem interested in pursuing anything else.

Doesn’t she have to be?
I mean, we’re almost twenty years later. Whether he’s lying or not, you either have to tell yourself it’s the truth or accept you’ll never have an answer.

Nope.
But I for one and happy she has chosen to be satisfied. Her minds needs peace.

I don't think she has to be, but it's certainly better for her mental and emotional states. She needs to believe what is best for her and her family. I think she is relying heavily on the polygraph results. It was described as "extensive", I believe.
I don't trust the guy's story. I think he killed her. He was pretty young at the time and I'm having a hard time believing he disposed of her body alone. If he "bludgeoned" her to death on the beach, there would have to have been blood and that place was searched at the time as I recall. Something doesn't seem right, but she has more details than were given out this morning. She indicated his proffer would be made public, but attorneys on the stream I was watching said that would be unusual.
