I said it before, the WCW had the right idea with weight classes. I would like to see Cruiser, Light, and Heavyweight championships but anyone can challenge for the World Championship. frick, I haven't watched in so long, I don't even know what half these championships are anymore.

Drew is guess.

Cody needs a good heel to thrive. Is Drew that guy? I guess he's the ONLY guy. Every other decent heel is on Raw. Not that it seems to matter.

You could have fatu make a run at him…

One of my least favorite wrestlers in history. fricking hate him

Well now it shows the post show as over but of course still no replay

What logical reason does he have to attsck the loser
My guess will be that Cena bailed on Dewayne, so Dewayne sent him. After he fails, Cena's last match will be against the Rock.
ETA: on the topic of what's next for wrestlers or feuds, I hope they do a reorder of the roster. Move some people around.

Send Priest back to Raw. I thought he was decent on Raw and almost immediately showing up on Smackdown, fights forever with Drew which was just boring.
Posted on 8/3/25 at 11:11 pm to Translator
Honestly priest kinda sucks in general. He needs to retool his character
Posted on 8/3/25 at 11:15 pm to Pedro
Maybe if they turn him heel again?
Honestly, him Aleister and Zelina in a stable would be interesting.

I’m so pissed they used Travis fricking Scott to give Cena his historic number.

Honestly, I think HHH is doing his best to navigate a world where kayfabe doesn't really exist (but they [the fans] want it to) so he is trying to use social media and these blurred lines to at least approximate kayfabe. That's why he had Owen piledrive Cody after the show went dark. He knew it would blow up because it was dark.
He's trying to navigate a landscape that no booker ever really had to deal with. Even the smarks of the 90s and 2000s weren't as clued in and when every superstar is making money off podcasts and instagram, it gets even harder.
SO what do you do, you pull big rug pulls and swerves, but sometimes those just don't hit, but you're still trying to shock the crowd. That's what HHH has always done. Now, he has to do something different with the biggest magnifying glass ever right on the company.
But you have to balance that with giving the crowd what they want. You can't always trick them. You can't always make them scream. Sometimes a cheer and ovation is enough. 80/20. 80% of the time give them what they want, but 20% of the time keep it quiet and blow their damn minds.
Cody v Cena was an 80% match. It was two faces fighting in a heel match and beating the shite out of each other for 20+ minutes with big bumps and big spots. That's eggs and butter. Brock was the cayenne pepper.
It's a tough row to hoe in professional wrestling now and they are trying to figure it out without becoming just a 20% company.
That's my $.02.

Reed has a place. A big guy who has a different look is nice to have. When he was splashing people non stop the crowd loved it. He is just overshadowed at the moment

I can agree with that.
At the end of the day I still think something didn’t come together the way they wanted it to with the rock piece of cenas turn. None of what happened after cenas turn leading up to mania made sense. It didn’t have to be this huge “swerve shock and awe” thing for it to be a great storyline after the initial turn. instead it was just meh.
I also think having that stretch in Europe killed a lot of momentum.

I don’t envy him at all being in charge during the corporate whore era. The constant product placement, the logos on the turnbuckles, the rock constantly talking about it not being real right after the show goes off the air.
It’s why I still think the biggest overarching angle right now would be having the “viral moment” loving board and leadership of “TKO” vs the more wrestling first faces of the roster. The TKO side would give cover to them bringing in celebrities (that they’re doing anyway) while letting the wrestling first side essentially represent the fans frustrations.

Yeah, in hindsight, nothing about any of that made sense. The only thing that makes sense about any of it is that Rock/Scott didn't follow through with their end at all. Rock needs to just stay away at this point.

Switch this Cena-Cody match with the WM one and Night 2 of WM would've been great... they would've gone into the summer with a ton of momentum after doing everything they could to ruin it from the Rumble through Night 1. I don't understand why the just didn't tell Travis Scott to piss off instead of subheading by addition at WM. I know only there things about him. 1, he had a McDonald's meal. 2, he had a really shitty song for WM. 3, his arse is owed a few receipts from the boys after what he did to Cost at EC.
The crowd being dead on night 2 is the biggest thing that holds SummerSlam back from being as good/better than WM this year. Though they have regained the momentum that Dwayne/Scott (being lazy POS) cost them at WM.
I'll watch it for Brock and to see how this Punk-Seth thing plays out but there's not much else giving me reason to invest in it. I don't care about Becky, Naomi, Solo, Dom, any tag team, and honestly Charlotte/Alexa. Seth, Cody, and Guilia are the only ones who move the needle for me. They need to do the right thing in Paris and move the title over to Stephanie. She is nearing Rhea 2023-4 levels of popularity but that won't last if they don't do it now.

They could still save it and tie it together if the Rock is indeed Cena's last match.
I know Batista is done wrestling, but could you imagine having Cena vs. Rock with Batista as a special referee or involved in some manner? Thst's honestly A Wrestlemania match, that's $$$, but Cena's last match shouldn't really be a SNME even anyway, unless you're trying to pull all eyeballs on free TV.
