Most of us have heard this expression, but this story takes the cake.

Cliffs: A woman reported an intruder in her home. Cops arrive, the home is dark. They force entry and find the woman, who says they aren't real police and points a fake gun that she'd gone to the trouble of painting to make it look real. Police find a suicide note after.

That's about as planned a suicide by cop as it gets.

Don't worry, plenty will blame the cops here. It's what ignorant fricks do. And if she is a brown person, give the bitch bonus points.

I don't even know what a brown person is. Does that make me PC?

Is it true you don't need a high school diploma to be a cop?

Not at all. A person who does this kind of thing often has family members who can claim discrimination and sue the city, the police department, the police union, the police union's insurance company, the police chief, the precinct captain, the officer who shot the person, any other officer who was present at the time of the shooting, etc. The family could also sue the state and federal justice departments for failing to indict the officer as well. Lot of money for one's heirs to make in a situation like that.

EDIT: Don't forget about GoFundMe accounts, too.

If she had bought a fat life insurance policy about two years ago, did not leave a note, then pulled this bit, would insurance pay?

Doesn't matter. The family can sue the insurance company regardless...then the insurance company, fearing that the jury could be swayed by emotion, would have little choice but to settle out of court for an undisclosed sum (of at least five figures, possibly even in the low six figures).
