Sudden Water Pressure Loss - Shower/Tub

I was getting ready to take a shower tonight and had the hot water turned on. I stepped away for a minute and the pressure suddenly dropped to almost nothing (there is still pressure for cold water). I checked all other faucets and washer & they all seem to work fine. My wife used the shower this morning and had no trouble. I am at a loss. Can any OT plumbers tell me what may have happened?

obviously an issue with that particular faucet...I have seen the washers break out and stop up the orifice.
would it happen to be one of those that keeps water temp constant during the shower?

Sounds to me like the stem inside the faucet

Sounds like the utilities cut off your hot water. Maybe you'll pay that bill in the future.

That pipe is either clogged or you have a problem with the faucet.
