Self inflicted at least in part to having stores that were too big in areas with a high dollar per square foot lease. You have to sell a lot of $10 candy bars and $16 ice creams to cover that monthly bill. Also, I bet the "bill" to buy out Hanna was due, calculating such a buyout takes a while, and they did not like the number. I expect folks who stayed after Hamma left will restart under a new name and closing like this was part of the strategy.

On another note, I had a friend go to redeem her gift card today and they would not. Instead, they were literally bagging the inventory in the cases and throwing it out.
