This is going to be one of "those" threads where all sorts of Internet Navy SEALS come out of the woodwork to tell us about fighting with the Muj. Calling it already.

I have now read it all on the OT. I just hope you don't believe your own bullshite.

Well I'm probably not the only one here, but I assume you are referring to me.

I was thinking this would be more about performance enhancing drugs, not just some weed

OK. I, for one, am just dying to know when these guys are required to "use drugs" as part of their mission. Please enlighten us with some examples. Or is it classified and you could tell us but you would have to kill us? Let us know from where you acquired this intimate knowledge of the TTP's of SEAL missions as well. Were you brought in as a special civilian advisor but you can't talk about it? Please tell us Sensei.

This is a little over the top. A simple request for an explanation would have been better.

What we are discussing here is that it is not SOP to encourage the use of illegal substances by special operations groups when they are in country.

That's not what I took from the OP but whatever.

Of course it's not SOP to encourage SF to use illicit substances. That's fricking ridiculous. That doesn't mean that those guys don't do it though. I have spent time on the Afghan/Pak. border and you can get bricks of hash out there easier than you could get fresh fruit.

Want an explanation? After having the third sniper attack in a week we figured resistance was organized. After the ieds started being made from huge bombs as opposed to artillery rounds, we knew an armory was opened.

Sf and df came into the area and infiltrated the locals. A few months later, we were turning the tide.

Don't worry about the details.

My roommate in the military Substance Abuse Program was a Navy SWCC dude. They aren't immune to it.

We were both there for booze. No drugs for us, but plenty do that stuff too.

5th SFG is at Campbell. Any chance he flew helicopters? The 160th SOAR are also Night Stalkers.

Edit: Cool deal man. Not trying to derail the thread.

What exactly did you see as far as Spec Ops guys using illicit drugs?

I don't think anyone's disputing that.

Lots of hash use. LOTS.

But in my opinion it was to fit in.

No I wasn't asking for an explanation, I was telling that a-hole that's been posting in here that instead of his dickheaded post a simple request would have probably had better results.
