As much as I think the student is pathetic and out of line, the idea that he violated the pastor's right to free speech is ridiculous. Arizona State could violate that right, or some other form of government, but a private citizen has no obligation to adhere to any free speech protections. There is no difference between the student and someone who gets in a fight because a guy called him a bitch. They're just words and should be ignored, but if you fight someone over it, you're not in violation of the first amendment.
