14 Overseas Territories still exist...but these a tiny places. I think Bermuda might be the biggest one left in terms of population.
Gibraltar may be the only one that still causes some controversy.

Had ex inlaws who lived there when the ex was an adolescent/teenager and again after we were married. People do not fully get what that put in place for the UK. It boiled down to their policy of allowing any person who had ever lived under the flag of the commonwealth to be eligible for any social programs if they made it to Great Britain. No sure if that has been modified or even if that explanation was accurate back in the early 80s but it was sore spot for the friends of my ex inlaws who were from the UK. It put a lot of otherwise foreign nationals on the entitlement roles in the UK
