This is getting ridiculous. I'm all for the vets and the service they do and risk they take (although I guess I'd argue that it hasn't been for defending "freedom" since WW2 with possibly the exception of Afghanistan but that is a totally separate thread and certainly not the vets fault but our dumbass politicians), but if some loser trounces around pretending to have been in the military who honestly gives a frick?
And then you get stuff like the link above..

Ok woops didn't see it, but I guess in my defense I don't spend 24/7 on here and it does seem like an active board where stuff drops down quickly.

It's just not pretending it's also about obtaining benefits or using it as an advantage.
Personally I neither have the time nor desire to hunt people down to accuse them of stolen valor.
Soon enough this is going to spiral out of control. People are gonna target the homeless that are wearing an old pt shirt or bdu jackets and such.
